Vendor Spotlight – Nicole Uthmann

How did you get started at Vintage Marketplace?

Both of my parents passed away in 2021, leaving behind an estate filled with belongings collected over more than 80 years. We needed a way to share some of these treasures, and my friend Mimmi mentioned her booth at Vintage Marketplace. When I visited her space, I instantly fell in love with the store and knew it could be the perfect place to sell some of our family’s cherished items.

Do you have an area of specialty?

My parents held onto everything…sometimes saving the original boxes and tucking old treasures away in the garage or basement. They belonged to a generation that truly cherished what they had, taking pride in caring for their belongings. Now, going through their things feels like stepping back in time. The collection, ranging from the 1940s to the 1990s, tells stories that spark memories and connect with so many people.

What is your favorite part of reselling?

My favorite part of reselling is seeing meaningful items find new life with someone who truly appreciates them. It’s rewarding to know that pieces from the past…many with personal or historical value…can spark memories, joy or even inspiration for someone else. Every sale feels like a small connection between generations. In addition to this, I also raise and sell locally sourced beef through my business, Mountain View Meats, and I enjoy sharing these special finds that are at Vintage Marketplace with my beef followers as well.
