Vendor Spotlight – Mary Denning

How did you get started at Vintage Marketplace?

Dumpster diving got me started with vintage Christmas! A neighbor had to go to a nursing home and many of her amazing items were being thrown away. The first two pieces I rescued had me hooked on vintage Christmas.

Do you have an area of specialty?

I’m drawn to the 1940s, 50s and 60s Christmas decorations. I have a Christmas light strand from 1916 and it still works.

What is your favorite part of reselling?

I enjoy restocking my booth and watching customers faces light up as they come in. They usually have a story to tell me of their childhood Christmas memories.
