How did you get started at Vintage Marketplace?

I got started with Vintage Marketplace when I realized what a project it would be to move to a smaller home. So, since it is a “far off” inevitability, it gives me time to have some fun selling a few things first. Both my husband and I have been small business owners in retail and service and we have fallen in love with how well Vintage Marketplace is run and the sense of community there.

Do you have an area of specialty?

I had a picture frame shop in Old Town Fort Collins for 15 years before it was making enough money to sell. Then, I took care of my parents for the end of their lives, married my landlord, and tried to figure out what to do with the rest of our lives. Because we both love art and picture framing, we made shows and festivals our new ‘retired’ life.

What is your favorite part of reselling?

Our favorite western artists to represent are Howard Terpning and Martin Greele. Even my husband’s mother was an award winning painter, Tommie Johnson.
