Vendor Spotlight – Karlene Candia

How did you get started at Vintage Marketplace?

I had always worked retail. I would always say, ” I would love to have a little booth,” something I could call mine. I have been fortunate enough to be able to take things apart and put them back together. It started with sewing at a very young age and has evolved from there. Every hobby you can think of I’ve tried. Ask my husband!

Vintage Marketplace gave me a home…a little place I call MAVA…it’s my happy place.

Do you have an area of specialty?

Now I’m starting to step out of the box and try some color and floral. Check out my booth wall paper. That was a big step. Turned out I love it!

What is your favorite part of reselling?

Meeting all the people that visit Vintage Marketplace and all the amazing vendors. The encouragement that I have received from everyone has been a real confidence booster. My motto has been, “Don’t just say it, Do it!” It is truly life changing. Karlene, aka MAVA
