Vendor Spotlight – Debra Gale

How did you get started at Vintage Marketplace?

I have been flipping furniture for 7 years. I’ve always loved antique and vintage furniture. After I retired from my healthcare career I decided to try painting furniture and selling it. I would frequent thrift stores, estate sales and garage sales looking for old furniture to flip. Along the way, I would find small vintage items to sell as well. I needed a place to sell my items and found Vintage Marketplace and rented a booth a year after they opened.

Do you have an area of specialty?

I love antique or vintage pieces and mainly sell vintage smaller items in my booth. Older furniture is made well and lasts a long time!

What is your favorite part of reselling?

I love meeting all the nice people along the way – the vendors and staff at Vintage Marketplace, the customers, and people I buy my items from in the area. I enjoy every aspect of this wonderful 2nd career!

What is Trending for you Right Now?

Brass candle holders and brass figurines are hot! I also sell a lot of vintage prints in vintage frames, especially small ones that people are using for gallery walls.
